Meet The Softball Coaches
Candyce Carter
This is my 7th year teaching and coaching at the high school level. I am in my second year at Lake Creek High School. Prior to coming to LCHS, I spent 5 years at Barbe High School where I was the head coach. We saw a ton of success at Barbe where we were State Runner Ups in 2019 and State Champions in 2021. Before that I spent time coaching at the college level at McNeese State University as well as University of Louisiana Monroe. We won back to back conference tournament championships as well as regular season champions.
My father has been a baseball coach in Texas for 30+ years, he is currently at PNG and my mom continues to be our biggest support system day in and day out. I also have a sister and brother-in-law whose family lives in Montgomery with their children Reagan (6) and Carson Jack. (3) My entire family is excited and grateful to be a LION!

Kaydee Cooley
This is my 4th year teaching at Montgomery ISD. I played softball at Texas A&M University where I majored in Youth Development. WHOOP! I have coach Volleyball Basketball and Track at Oak Hill Junior High before moving to Lake Creek.
I have been married for 9 year and two kids. Hydee is 6 and loves softball. She has played 4 seasons at MGSA. Kooper is 4 and loves martial arts and soccer. We are excited to be a Lake Creek Lion.
Sarah Simmons
I am blessed to be starting my 5th year here at Lake Creek as the Head Girls Basketball Coach, and a part of our math department. Being a part of a winning tradition in both basketball and softball is such a gift and a blessing. Previously, I was the head coach at Magnolia West High School for 5 years, and in 2018-2019 took the team to their first ever Regional Tournament.
I am a native of Marshall, Texas and a proud Maverick! I competed collegiately, on a nationally ranked basketball team, at Abilene Christian University and received my Undergraduate Degree in Education. I also have a Masters from the University of North Texas in Administration.
I am extremely excited to be a part of Lake Creek softball and look forward to help continue its winning traditions.
